Welcome to After Image Studio.

A solo indie development forge dedicated to building the kind of fantasy games that don’t apologize for being fantastical.

“Swords should gleam, brown parchment maps should be riddled with secrets, and the world shouldn't just sit around waiting for the chosen one to roll out of bed.”

Founded on the belief that games should be fun for the sake of fun, rather than gritty for the sake of maturity, After Image Studios draws deep inspiration from the unapologetically unruly world-building of early editions of Dungeons & Dragons. Before fantasy was streamlined into neat little paths, it was wild, sprawling, and the best way to find adventure was to poke something you probably shouldn’t.

Now, ‘our’ game philosophy is taking shape in the studio’s first title: Tales for the Long Nights, a Tactical Adventure Roguelike where every run is an unscripted story waiting to be told around the campfire. Expect hard-won victories, unpredictable events, and a world that marches on whether you're ready or not.

If you crave adventures where heroes are forged by wit and circumstance, not destiny, where the world doesn’t stop just because you overslept, and where the spirit of classic, unpretentious fantasy is alive and well -then you’re in the right place.
